According to Boston.com, a 35-year-old woman from Needham, Massachusetts was hiking with a group of friends yesterday on Sandwich Mountain in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. She twisted her ankle after they reached the summit of the mountain.

The group tried to help her down the mountain themselves but they were moving at a pretty slow pace. They decided the best thing to do was to call 911 for a rescue. I think it was the right move since the temperature was dropping and it was raining pretty heavily. Her ankle reportedly turned out to be broken!

Fun fact about me: Last year I was hiking Mount Watatic in Central Mass. My friend Linda and I got so lost we needed to call a 911 rescue.
