Maine High School Senior Buys Ice Cream Shop
Many teenagers debate what to do after graduation. One student is banking on a hot summer for his future.
According to WGME, last month, 18 year old Jack Watkins bought Spencer’s Ice Cream in Bradley. The summer after graduation is a time when many prepare for college life, decide to take a year off, or look for a summer job. Many will apply to summer heavy business like, say, an ice cream shop. Justin has taken it to a new level.
He graduated from high school on Sunday, and is already diving in to charity work with his business. According to WGME, Watkins is collecting donations for a family who lost their home in a fire. He's also planning many special events throughout the summer to boost business. He'll command an ice cream parlor where most of the employees are older than him, including his sister, Emily Watkins.
Face it, Jack is making ALL of us feel like slackers today.
