Maine Officials Investigate The Shooting Death Of A 5-Year Old Girl
(Scarborough, Me.) - Maine State Police continue to investigate two shooting deaths that occurred Monday night, including the death of 5-year old Elise Dorr of Belfast.
The young girl died at Maine Medical Center in Portland shortly after arrival last night.
State Police say Dorr had been staying at the home of her grandparents in Scarborough with her parents and two older siblings while her grandparents were away. Police were called to the home after the shooting was reported at 7:30 Monday night.
Her parents, Todd and Virginia Dorr of Belfast were at the home at the time of the shooting and have been interviewed.
An autopsy is scheduled for today as the investigation into the shooting continues.
Meanwhile, State Police are investigating after 50 year old Norma Bridges was found shot to death in her home on Falmouth Street in Westbrook Monday night.
