Maine Women Score Big on ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Game shows appear to be very generous to Maine residents. According to reporting out of WMTW.com, two Maine women are the latest big winners from the state on the popular game show ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ Nobleboro resident Laura Oliver and her friend Beth Day of Pittsfield appeared on the show last Wednesday night.

The two took part in a special episode dubbed “Girlfriend Getaways Week.” They won a trip to Aruba early in the game, so they certainly won a fantastic girlfriend getaway. Not only did they win the trip, but both also took home $37,000 in cash for solving the final puzzle!

Just last month Maine resident Giovanna Bechard was on the show. Wheel of Fortune airs on weeknights at 7 pm on WMTW Channel 8. Let’s hope we see some more New Englanders on the show soon and congratulations to the winners Laura Oliver and Beth Day. Have fun on your trip to Aruba.
