Christopher Martini had previously been sentenced for shooting another girlfriend in a separate incident.

According to the Lowell Sun, a man who assaulted a woman so badly, her 7-year-old daughter told a neighbor she thought her mom was dead, will spend 6 to 8 years in state prison.

Christopher Martini, plead guilty to a dozen criminal charges, including assault with intent to murder, in Middlesex Superior Court. He reportedly was arrested in April. The victim's 7-year-old daughter found her mother laying face down on the kitchen floor and called her grandfather, according to a police report. The grandfather told police that during that call from the girl, he heard Martini in the background screaming for the girl to "get the (expletive) off the phone." According to the report, Martini tried to pull first responders away from the woman as they treated her for what he called an "overdose."

This isn't his first serious crime. According to the Lowell Sun, In 2015, he was sentenced to 3 to 7 years in a New Hampshire prison after pleading guilty to second degree assault for shooting another girlfriend in Nashua in 2014. A record of when he got out was not found.
