Massachusetts Zoo Officials on the Lookout for Missing Stork
Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Massachusetts is missing a stork. Zoo officials say the white-bellied stork flew away Friday while training for the 'Masters of Flight: Birds of Prey' show.
Las, as the bird is called was supposedly last seen over the weekend at Spot Pond, which isn't far from the Stone Zoo.
The bird is described as about 3-feet-tall with dark, iridescent purple wings, neck and back. It has a featherless face and long legs. Las is not dangerous and could be either perched in a tree or, walking around. If you see Las, you are asked not to approach the bird, as it might fly away, but to give Stone Zoo a call at 314-600-4873.
