Not giving up hope just yet
The families of two 14-year-old Florida boys lost at sea are not giving up hope, even though the boys' 19-foot boat was found capsized Sunday, two days after they had set off on a fishing trip. The Coast Guard says it'll continue to "aggressively" search for Perry Cohen and Austin Stephanos. Coast Guard officials have most recently been focusing on waters off northeast Florida.

Amid surge in deaths, Manchester police hosting heroin forum
Manchester's police chief is hosting a forum for the public to talk about those who are adversely affected by opiate and heroin addiction. Chief Nick Willard is one of seven panel members conducting Tuesday's forum at the Salon Ballroom from 5 to 7 p.m. The forum will include the city's fire and health departments, youth coalitions and recovery groups. A similar forum was recently hosted by the Merrimack Police Department.

Police: Alcohol a factor in drowning death of Vermont man
Police in New Hampshire say over-consumption of alcohol appears to have factored into the drowning death of a Vermont man. Rescuers found the body of 24-year-old Scott Way, of St. Johnsbury in the Connecticut River in Littleton on Sunday afternoon.
Police said Monday that Way was attempting to swim from one location to another and drowned. A preliminary investigation indicates that poor decision-making and alcohol were factors in the incident.
