As the search continues for two convicted killers who escaped a nearby prison, authorities in northern New York are urging residents and seasonal camp owners to call police if they notice anything out of place or capture suspicious activity on trail cameras. Officials say items recovered from a remote hunting cabin in the area been sent to labs for DNA testing to determine if they are linked to the escapees.

Winthrop woman charged with embezzling from church
A former office manager and treasurer at a Winthrop, Maine church has been indicted on charges she embezzled about $30,000 in church funds.Tricia Day, of Winthrop, was indicted by a Kennebec County grand jury on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking that carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
