On Saturday, hopefully, you can join us for the American Heart Association's Seacoast Heart Walk. It's a 2-mile walk that starts and ends at the Little Harbour School in Portsmouth.

On Sunday, it's the Cocheco Valley Humane Society's annual 'Tails 2 Trails' dog walk at the Strafford County Courthouse lawn. The festivities get underway at 11am. Mark and I will see you there!

More bodies found in TX flooding
The death toll from recent severe weather in Texas could be up to 21, with the discovery of a body in Houston. Officials believe it may be an 87-year-old man who was swept away by flood waters earlier this week. Another body was found last night on the bank of the Blanco River in San Marcos. Flood waters have been receding, but officials continue to monitor The Blanco, San Jacinto and Brazos Rivers.

Former New York Governor George Pataki has entered the contest for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. Pataki announced his candidacy yesterday - first on YouTube, and then at an event in Exeter.

Shea-Porter ready to win back seat
Former Democratic Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter says she's prepared to win back the seat she lost to Republican Frank Guinta now that the Federal Election Commission has found that he accepted illegal campaign donations from his parents. Shea-Porter served two terms in the 1st Congressional District before Guinta defeated her in 2010. She won in 2012, only to lose to him again last fall.
