Trading resumes on a wary Wall Street
Amid an atmosphere of uncertainty, trading resumes this morning on the New York Stock Exchange. Wall Street had a sixth consecutive losing day yesterday, as the market opened strong but then slumped by the closing bell. The Dow lost nearly 205 points. Shares fell today in Europe and Asian markets were mixed.

Officer justified in shooting death
The state Attorney General's Office says a Derry police officer was justified in shooting a man to death in January. The wife of 54-year-old Andrew Toto had called 911 to report that her husband was distraught and armed and "looking for a suicide by cop." As police pursued him, Toto drove into oncoming traffic. He later pulled over and fired a shotgun at Officer Kevin Ruppel, who fired back.

Not Guilty plea entered for Vermont woman accused of murder
A Vermont woman accused of killing a state social worker and three relatives because she was upset about losing custody of her 9-year-old daughter pleaded not guilty in the deaths of her relatives. Jody Herring is charged with aggravated murder in the deaths earlier this month of two of her cousins and an aunt. Herring has already pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of a social worker.
