Wings are a big part of my life and believe it or not, my marriage. My husband Steven and I share such a profound love of wings they were even mentioned in our wedding vows. I promised to always eat the flats and give him the drumsticks. That is a fantastic way to measure compatibility with a person, do they like the opposite wing as you? Then you two are a match made in heaven!

I'm a big fan of the restaurant Wing-Itz and frequent their Dover location since it is so close to the radio station. I love how they break the glass ceiling and always have the most adventurous wing flavors, like Peanut Butter and Jelly wings. Don't knock 'em til you try 'em!

According to SeacoastOnline, the owner of Wing-Itz, Derek Fisher, has opened three locations so far: One in Portsmouth, Dover, and Newmarket.

But Derek lives in Hampton, New Hampshire, and he has never had a location that is close enough to his house that he could walk...UNTIL NOW!

The article explains that Derek grew up in Hampton Falls and is bringing his fourth Wing-Itz location in 15 years to the former Burger King space on Route 1. Derek shared the exciting news on Facebook and plans to open the new Hampton location in January.

Derek realizes that opening a new location in the Winter during a pandemic is risky business. He told the paper how supportive his clientele has been and that gives him a great deal of confidence. “If I was a new startup, I wouldn’t suggest it,” he said. “I think we’re going to be just fine here no matter what time of year we open up.”
