New England Driver Says He Was Eating A Hash Brown, Not On His Phone When He Got A Ticket
Does this cell phone look like a hash brown?
A Connecticut man claims that thing in his hands was a McDonald's hash brown, not a cell phone, after a Westport police officer pulled him over earlier this year, and gave him a ticket for distracted driving. Jason Stiber says he was wrongly cited, according to our news partner WMTW. Stiber reportedly challenged the $300 charge; however, he lost in court.
Stiber was granted a retrial that’s scheduled to start December 7th. We will keep you posted.
