There are some gifts that teachers always love and they are usually unique and thoughtful items.
It seems to be a universal problem, because a report from Today.com say teachers across the country love getting special gifts from their students, but there's one thing they get too many of.

The one gift teachers in New England and around much of the country don't need nor really want is another coffee mug.
Oops, that's what you purchased for your kid's teacher? If you added a gift card to a local coffee shop that would be much better.
In fact, teachers agreed, a gift card of any amount is always the best gift. Also, anything homemade and super heart felt.
Gifts From The Heart for the Win
Think about gifts your child has given you as a parent. Which ones stand out? It's always the ones that are homemade, like pottery, or ornaments, or a coupon book fill with IOU's for cleaning, or baking, or helping with laundry, right?

So whether it's a holiday gift, a birthday gift, or an end of year present for a teacher, keep in mind what a very thoughtful gift or handmade card would look like from you, the parents, and from the student.
Ahhh, you never thought about this before? Good, then don't go for the mug, no matter how funny the saying is. A tee-shirt with the same sentiment is way better.
