Would it surprise you to learn New Hampshire drivers are worse than Massachusetts drivers?

According to a recent study, New Hampshire commuters are among the worst in the nation, coming in as the 5th-worst in the United States.

A recent article on WMUR's website says the report, conducted by Ever Drive shows New Hampshire drivers are ahead of Massachusetts when it comes to bad drivers.

About 38 percent of drivers across the country used phones during their trips, according to the data. But the number is much lower in New Hampshire, where just 32 percent of drives included phone use, the fourth-best mark in the U.S.

Rounding out the worst drivers in this study were New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Rhode Island, which ranked last in the U.S.

The same report showed Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, South Dakota and North Dakota having the best overall drivers.
