If you are traveling during the Government Shutdown, you might want to prepare even more so than normal.  Things may be different than what you are used to and former New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu had this to say.

According to thehill.com, former NH Governor Chris Sununu said that you will need to "pack your patience" as the shutdown is still going on.

"People should still plan on having their flights. But we always say, pack your patience, give yourself a little more time."

Air Traffic Controllers, in my opinion, are the most important person when we get onto any aircraft.  They are right up there with the pilot.  Their job is to literally make sure that planes don't crash into one another.

Airlines for America, which the former NH Governor is now CEO, from what I can tell from their website, is pushing for an upgrade because the Air Traffic Control system that we have now is chronically understaffed and potentially obsolete?

In the Hill article, Sununu also says that no one should cancel their Thanksgiving travel plans.  Security and safety are paramount.  Just be aware that it might take more time than usual.
