New Hampshire Pottery Classes Are Giving Major ‘Ghost’ Movie Vibes

As the new guy in New England, I'm always looking for different things to do that don't involve sitting in front of another screen. Hiking is great. Beach days are great. But sometimes you just want to try something you've never done before.

That's where pottery comes in at The Wheel House NH in Portsmouth.

Maybe it's just me, but the second I saw these pottery classes, my brain went straight to *Ghost*.

You know the scene.

Patrick Swayze. Demi Moore. A spinning pottery wheel. "Unchained Melody" playing in the background. It's one of the most iconic movie moments ever, and for decades it's convinced people they should probably try pottery at least once in their lives.

There's just something about working with clay that seems to make people smile. Maybe it's because you're creating something with your own hands. Maybe it's because nobody expects perfection. Or maybe it's just really satisfying watching a lump of clay slowly turn into something that actually resembles a bowl... or at least something your family will politely call "art."

Let's be honest... mine would probably end up looking like something my mom would proudly display out of pure obligation.

The Wheel House New Hampshire has been seeing that firsthand. They have an Intro to Throwing classes keep filling up, which tells me I'm apparently not the only one who's always wanted to give the pottery wheel a shot.

It feels perfect for a date night, a girls' night out, a fun outing with friends, or even finally checking something off that bucket list you've been putting off for years. It's the kind of experience you'll probably laugh through, get your hands dirty, and leave with a story, even if your masterpiece ends up looking a little... abstract.

Classes are currently offered:

* Fridays at 6 p.m.
* Saturdays at 6 p.m.
* Sundays at 1 p.m.

And fair warning... if you've been saying, "We should do that someday," this is probably your sign.
