This time, the spotlight is on five fresh eateries that made their debut in May 2026.

As for what kind? Well, the Granite State just got a new Greek place, a Vegan place, a sandwich place, a breakfast-and-lunch place, and a Mexican place.

While, sadly, several New Hampshire restaurants closed in May 2026, the fifth month of the year also saw a number of openings.

What's the saying about when one door closes? There's probably a new restaurant somewhere to try? That's not the saying?

Well, over in Newington, a new Moe's Italian Sandwiches spot opened in a former TD Bank in early May.

This one replaced the recently closed (and just down the road) Moe's in the Mobil gas station at 1980 Woodbury Avenue in Portsmouth.

Did I mention they are using the bank drive-through to give sandwiches if you're picking up?

Meanwhile, in Dover, Juniper Kitchen moved from its spot on Third Street into the Central Ave location that previously housed Gallivant Global Eatery.

In a Facebook post announcing the switch-up, Gallivant's owner expressed and enthusiasm and excitement for Juniper's takeover: "I’m thankful this space will continue to operate in the hands of another local, woman-owned business, and I know that Betsy will honor it and build something meaningful in the community as we’ve done at Gallivant."
