Stop scrolling, put down the phone, and pay attention. Just a few of the things road workers hope for on a daily basis. This week spotlight these, and other safety concerns.

According to their website, National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) is an annual spring campaign held at the start of construction season to encourage safe driving through highway work zones. The key message is for drivers to use extra caution in work zones. The Foundation, a non-profit that supports the families of those who have lost loved ones in roadway work zone accidents, has a National Work Zone Memorial meant to honor these lives that been lost. The memorial travels around the country each year to spread awareness of staying safety in roadway work zones – the same mission of National Work Zone Awareness Week.
We can all help spread the word. Go Orange Day is on April 11. Everyone is encouraged  to wear orange and post photos to help celebrate Go Orange Day.
