Police Say New Hampshire Teen Plows Into Gas Pump While Texting & Driving
The Hudson, New Hampshire teen had two passengers, and no one was hurt.
Sunday night, a 17-year-old girl from Londonderry, New Hampshire was traveling in Hudson. According to WMUR News 9, she was headed northbound on Derry Street when her 2012 Nissan Versa drifted into the southbound lane. Police say the car veered off the road and into the parking lot of TDBank, hitting the sign.
The Versa then went over a snowbank and into the parking lot of a Mobil station, striking the pump and knocking it over, according to the news station. The gas station attendant was quick to hit the emergency shut off to the gas line. As a result, there was only a small fuel spill.
The pump fell onto another vehicle.
After a ride like that, the 17-year old, and her passengers were extremely lucky to escape injury. Also, it was determined by police she was texting and driving at the time, according to WMUR. Police issued a for use of an electronic mobile device.
