Your Mornings Just Got Way More Fun With ‘Kira and Logan in the Morning’ on 97.5 WOKQ
Oh my goodness, this has been a long time coming! We have been teasing "March 7th" for weeks now and the day has finally arrived: our brand spankin' new morning show "Kira and Logan in the Morning" on 97.5 WOKQ.
The story of how Logan came into my life is a crazy one! It was his tenacity and persistence paired with a sprinkle of serendipity that landed him the job.
We made this fun video to illustrate the day we met. Check it out:
Of course, we both have different versions of the story. You can check out my version and Logan's version and decide which one you believe.
If you are new to WOKQ or haven't listened in a while, hello/welcome back! I'm Kira and I have been co-hosting the morning show on WOKQ for five years. Good lord, how time flies!
I was born in Leominster, MA, home of Johnny Appleseed (yup, he was a real guy) and the pink plastic flamingoes that some people stick in their lawns were also invented in my town (not to brag). I grew up performing in community theater my whole life, and couldn't imagine having a job where I couldn't be my full wacky self.
Thankfully I found radio, a career where my wackiness is encouraged and celebrated. In my spare time, I love exploring all of the nature New England has to offer. I love to hike, I am learning how to ski (which is not pretty) and I love going to new restaurants and breweries with my husband, who you might hear me refer to as my boyfriend on the air.
We like to keep things flirty, fresh, and fun.
As for Logan, he was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and now lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. To him, the Granite State is his playground, gym, and therapist. He loves camping and enjoying all the state has to offer from the White Mountains to the Seacoast. He especially loves to hike and spend time with his dogs and fiance. Oh, and he loves craft beer (definitely IPAs).
The new show will keep all of the segments you have come to know and love: The Good Stuff, Famous People 411, Second Date Update and Kan't Beat Kira. And of course, we will continue to hook you up with concert tickets to all of the biggest country shows in New Hampshire.
I can't wait to learn more about the Log man right along with you every weekday morning from 5:30 to 10 a.m.
"Kira and Logan in the Morning" is going to be so fresh and fun, and we hope you'll join us for the ride.
