Massive Catch by New Hampshire Fishermen Sold to Fish Market in Rye
I am not a fisherwoman myself but I know many folks who are fond of the sport!
There is something relaxing but also thrilling about casting your pole into the water and not knowing what the day will bring you. Will you get zero bites and leave feeling like a big ol' loser? I mean, maybe! But a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work. I think I saw that on a coffee mug one time.
There is also always that possibility that you will make the catch of a lifetime. A catch so big, so groundbreaking, that you take out the measuring tape so you can get your story straight when you brag about it for years to come. But as the years go on, the fish might grow a few inches as the story evolves. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
On June 23rd. two brothers from New Hampshire made the catch of a lifetime but believe it or not, it wasn't the biggest catch they've made in their lives.
Elias Alexandropoulos and his brother Kosta reeled in a swordfish that weighed nearly 500 pounds. According to WMUR, the fish was taunting them and hopping in and out of the water, it took over 2 hours for the brothers to finally pull that big boy onto their boat.
The article goes on to explain that after the catch was made the brothers rejoiced and brought the fish back to the Wentworth Marina in New Castle where they prepared it and brought it to Seaport Fish in Rye.
If you buy swordfish from Seaport Fish this week, there is a high chance it could be the famous catch from the Alexandropoulos brothers. From their boat, to your grill! It doesn't get more fresh than that!
As previously stated, you would assume a catch like this would be a record breaker for the Alexandropoulos bros but you would be sadly mistaken.
The 800 pound tuna they caught was their career high.

Congrats to the brothers Alexandropoulos on yet another phenomenal catch. The people of New Hampshire's bellies thank you.
