Well this sounds interesting!

NH Governor Chris Sununu plans to race a bus against the New Hampshire Lottery Executive Director Charlie McIntyre this Saturday night.

The event is the NH Lottery Educational Cup Challenge and will happen at the quarter mile drag strip in Epping, according to AP News.

Governor Sununu has been a regular at the event over the past four years and is participating to help bring awareness to the "more than $2 billion generated by the lottery for education since 1964".

Here's some great video of the Governor taking part last year:

Also on Saturday, Jet Cars Under The Stars will be taking place at New England Dragway.    That event, presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, features Jet Trucks, Jet Dragsters, Jet Funny Cars, Hot Rods from Hell, Wheelstanders, plus Iannotti Brothers Select Cars Top Sportsman, Pro Comp, New England No Time, Gasser Mania, Street Fighter, Fast By Gast TB, Northeast Pro Stock 800 Snowmobile, & Northeast Pro Mod Sled Asphalt Series.

The whole event looks pretty amazing.

Eventbrite says:

"No show has a larger following than Jet Cars Under the Stars. For decades this has been one the track's most popular family shows with the legends of turbine powered fury assaulting the New England Dragway concrete battleground."

Here's some video from last year's event:

If you want to go cheer the Governor on, or see some amazing cars including the world's fastest Jet Firetruck, tickets are still available here.

General Admission tickets are just $30.00 and Adult Reserved Tickets can be purchased for $40.00 for Jet Cars Under The Stars.
