This is one of those stories you never want to read about.

Newport, NH police are looking for a missing man and his grandson.

69 year old Jerry Proper and his grandson, 22 year old Cody Pillsbury, left for a motorcycle ride at about 2pm Monday, according to WMUR 9, but never returned.

Newport Police Department posted on their Facebook page asking the public for their help:

According to the post, Proper is an avid rider and they had no set destination. They were riding a red 2001 Honda GL18R1 Trike with NH license plates.

Proper and his grandson left from the Newport area.  If you were in that area on Monday around 2pm and remember seeing anything, Newport Police Department is asking that you please contact them at 603-863-3232.

According to WMUR, Proper often traveled through Western New Hampshire and the Lakes Region on his motorcycle.

Cody's mom, Laura Leigh, also posted on Facebook looking for any help the public might be able to give:

Laura says that her dad doesn't carry a cell phone, and she's not sure if Cody has his phone because they have been unable to reach him.

If you have any information at all, please reach out to Newport, NH Police Department.

We are praying for a good outcome and that both Cody and his grandson come home safely!
