Nubble Light in Maine to Undergo Much Needed Restoration Project
Before work gets underway, you may want to plan a day trip to one of the most famous lighthouses in America.
According to an article from Seacoast Online, Nubble Light in York, Maine is set to go under renovations beginning in April. The work is scheduled to last several months.
This will be the first time if about 30 years that Nubble LIght (the Cape Neddick Light Station), will undergo significant work.
The facelift will include, restoration of the exterior woodwork of the keeper's house and workshop as well as painting of the house, tower, generator building and workshop.
When I was a kid, during the summer it was an annual day trip with the family to see Nubble Light. It's one of the most beautiful spots in New England. I love looking around their gift shop too. I never leave empty-handed!
