Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Charged in Prostitution Sting
Multiple media agencies are reporting that Robert Kraft, the owner of the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, has been charged in Jupiter, Florida, with soliciting prostitution as part of a bigger investigation into human trafficking.
Police in the Sunshine State say they have video of Kraft from two different incidents that he is now facing charges for, according to NBC News. A report from MSNBC shows authorities holding a news conference and confirming that Kraft is indeed, one of the 25 individuals caught up in connection with the investigation at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida.
Kraft, who is 77, will appear in court at a later day, according to NBC News.
CNN states that the NFL team on Friday denied Kraft's involvement.
"We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further," a rep of the team said, according to CNN.
The Kraft family has owned the New England Patriots for 25 years and have won six Super Bowls. Kraft has four sons. His wife, Myra died back in 2011.
I cannot overemphasize how shocked and confused I am with this revelation.
