Portland Pizzeria Goes Above and Beyond To Help Workers Affected By The Government Shutdown
All weekend long Lazzari in Portland was giving away free pizza to workers who have been affected by the government shutdown. All they had to do was present their government ID or most recent paystub and their pizza was on the house.
Of course they would love to be able to pay the bills of all who are out of work and struggling right now. But they chose to help out the best way they could and that is through putting quality pizza in the bellies of hard working Americans.
The support they received was overwhelming. People were contacting the restaurant asking how they could donate. You can call the restaurant directly at (207)-536-0368 or you can swing by 618 Congress St in Portland and make your donation. All contributions will be sent in the form of giftcards to offices of Federal Employees.
