No surprise that New Hampshire leads the survey of states that love their libraries.

According to The Washington Post the home of the nations oldest State Library(founded in 1717) stands sixth in library spending per capita and seventh in circulation per capita.

The Granite State librarians work hard at developing summer reading programs for youngsters which is reflected by New Hampshire's high rankings in student reading proficiency.

Even though I prefer to patronize my hometown library and have a book in my hands I recently joined the 21st century by signing up for The State of New Hampshire e-book delivery system for my Kindle.

So no matter what age, summer is a great time to enjoy your local library and all the services they offer.
