Reflecting on 9/11, Sixteen Years Later [PHOTOS]
On a trip to New York City, we stopped at the 9/11 Memorial. What struck me most was the respect visitors have for this sacred piece of land. Nobody spoke. It was as if you were taken to another dimension as we read the names of ALL who perished on 9/11 and from the earlier terror attack in 1993.
To this day, I can’t bring myself to think of the horror those poor souls must have gone through on that beautiful Tuesday morning 16 years ago. Not just in New York City, but in Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.
For me, it’s too painful. However, the 9/11 Memorial Museum is a wonderful reminder of the strength and resilience of the survivors, first responders and this country.
Here are a few photos I took during my visit to One World Trade Center.
