If you've read some of my previous blogs on "Horizons" at Epcot in Florida or about Palace Playland, Old Orchard Beach + others, you know I really love amusement parks and especially the attractions I remember as a kid in the 1980s.

Planning a trip with my step kids this weekend to our very own Story Land in Glen, NH, I came across some retro items on the park's history online, and it sparked one of those memories you didn't realize you have deep down in the memory bank?

It's been more than 30 years since last I was at the park, but the instant I saw a photograph of "Voyage to the Moon" I instantly remembered it!

It's a classic, "Disney-esque" dark ride into a giant ride building complete with Jules Verne-inspired rocket ship on the exterior and a quirky experience meant to simulate a cartoon trip to space. My memories of the park had been of Cinderella and Humpty Dumpty, but the moment I saw the video I remembered how delighted I'd been by the ride as a boy only to read that it had since closed at the park.

Do you remember this ride?
