RiverFire Returns To New Hampshire With Hundreds Of Glowing Pumpkins Lighting The Berlin Mills Bridge
Get ready for pumpkins, fire and a little bit of Halloween vibes with zombies!

RiverFire returns Saturday, October 17th, and organizers claim one of the most memorable sights of the night will be the Pumpkin Bridge.

And last year, there were 437 pumpkins lighting it up!

According to Visit White Mountains, you can "mingle with ghosts, goblins, zombies and other ghoulish creatures". This is "Berlin’s annual fall family festival hosted by the Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce and held at Service Credit Union Heritage Park". They explain, "the daylong event culminates at dusk with a display of hundreds of carved and lit pumpkins and the lighting of bonfires on the river that illuminate the night and appear to be floating on water!"
RiverFire says, last year's pumpkins were arranged and illuminated by Honor Society students, who not only placed the tealights inside the pumpkins, but also counted every single one. That means 437 pumpkins helped create the glowing display on the bridge during the 2025 celebration.
As a mom, I love traditions like this that will last a lifetime. You know those random little childhood moments your kids somehow remember forever? A chilly October night, a bridge covered in glowing pumpkins and watching the river light up could easily become one of those.
And now there’s a new challenge for 2026: Can we beat 437!?
