People are Obsessed with the Inspirational Messages Outside this Rochester. New Hampshire, Tire Shop

We all love an inspirational message! We need them now more than ever.

A business on Union Street in Rochester, New Hampshire, has been delivering inspiration to the people of the Lilac City for over 100 years now. The inspiration is reaching a much wider audience now with the power of social media and it has translated into an online fan page with nearly 10,000 followers .

According to WMUR, Hervey's Tire in Rochester dates back to 1912 but it wasn't until the 1970's that they started posting inspirational messages in the front window. Over time the messages moved onto a letterboard and now in 2025 they are displayed on an electronic sign.

You can see all of the daily inspirational messages on the Facebook Fan group called "Hervey's Tire Message of the Day". The person who started the fan group is a mystery and that adds to the fun!

Who owns Hervey's Tire Company now?

Hervey is a family business in every sense of the word. It is now owned by fourth generation brothers Alan and Steve Hervey. The fifth generation is also involved! Evan and Leah Hervey help out at the shop, and Leah's daughters, part of the sixth generation, come by often. Even the family dogs, Archer and Ruby, have a presence in the shop.

The Hervey's told WMUR that they plan to continue providing the good people of Rochester tires and inspiration for many generations to come.
