People Love the Salad Bar at This South Berwick, Maine, Bakery
First of all I love that on the website of Aubrey's Coffeehouse and Bakery the first thing it says is "your caffeine intake is our top priority". That makes me feel so loved, cared for, and validated. This place immediately passed the vibe check.
When it comes to Coffeeshops, Aubrey's is one of a kind
This past July, Aubrey's was named Bakery of the Month by Southern Maine Famous:
Ex-squeeze me, did that say one of their claims to fame is EDIBLE cookie dough?! Don't get me wrong, I've been eating the stuff for years. But it would be nice to know I am doing sit safely and therefore guilt free.
Also, if you live that Gluten Free life, you know it can be challenging to find Gluten Free goodies. Look no further than Aubrey's GF pastries:
Aubrey's is also doing their part in keeping salad bar culture alive and we love them for that!
Why salad bars are awesome
I have always loved a salad bar because you can choose your own adventure! You want your salad to be 20% iceberg lettuce, 20% cucumbers and the rest is feta cheese? That is your prerogative!
Plus I think it is so fun to see what fixings different salad bars include. For me, salad bar must haves are black olives, croutons, and pepperoncini; bonus points if they have tuna salad or some kind of pasta salad.
During the pandemic salad bars became very taboo because of the whole germ factor. I wondered if they would ever make a comeback or if salad bars were going to become a thing of the past like T9 word and the Mapquest directions. Slowly but surely we have seen salad bars reintegrate their way back into our lives.
Aubrey's announced their salad bar is back and she looks more beautiful than ever:
Take a gander at all of those fresh vegetables just waiting for you to arrange them in the order/quantity of your choosing. A salad bar equates to freedom.
