SeaWorld Plans to Stop Killer Whale Shows

SeaWorld recently announced it was ending their killer whale shows at one of their theme parks. 

Shows at the San Diego park will stop by the end of 2016, SeaWorld CEO Joel Manby, said a "new orca experience" will debut in 2017 with a "strong conservation message."

The killer whale attraction has been at the center of an animal-cruelty claim against SeaWorld. The theme park's reputation was badly damaged in part by "Blackfish," a 2013 documentary film.

The killer whale shows will continue at other SeaWorld parks.
