Everything is so expensive, if you're like me, you might be looking around for things that you can sell or at least to get ahead a little bit.  Here's something that might help a little anyway.

Do you have working A/C units and dehumidifiers in your basement like I do?  My husband and I have three window units and 2 dehumidifiers that all work, but we got mini splits recently and don't need them.

We could keep them for back up, but they would just be sitting there waiting for the next time we need them.  I hate that.  If we don't need them, give them away or we will be bringing ours to one of the NHSaves events across New Hampshire.

NHSaves, according to their website, have organized events all across the state from now until October to turn in your A/C and dehumidifiers for a $50 incentive per unit.

NHSaves has partnered with all the electricity providers in the state:

  • Eversource
  • Unitil
  • NH Elec Cooperative
  • Liberty

You have to have an account with one of these service providers in order to get the rebate.

You'll need to fill out a rebate form and bring it to the event you are going to or you can do it online here.

There are a couple of rules to keep in mind:

  • There's a limit to two A/C units and 2 dehumidifiers per year, per electric account.
  • The units have to work too, you can't just give them something that doesn't work anymore.
