My co-worker Aaron was kind enough to bring in some beautiful pussy willows for me the other day at work. But here's how you can tell I'm city girl and I know nothing about life here in New Hampshire!

Many of you may know that I'm from a town just outside of Boston. That's where I grew up and spent good part of my adult life before moving to New Hampshire about ten years ago.

I worked for years and years and years in downtown Boston and spent most of my free time hanging out in the city with friends, going to ball games, and of course, hitting up the bar scene.

So, it's no wonder that when it comes to anything that has to do with what I call 'country living,' I'm pretty much clueless!

Case in point...these pussy willows. My co-worker Aaron was kind enough to bring in this beautiful bouquet. I immediately said to him, "Oh, I gotta go put them in water!' To which Aaron's reply was...'NO, you don't put these in water!'

My city brain could not comprehend that! No water? How would they survive? Apprently, Aaron said pussy willows will last for years without water. That can't be! But, according to pretty much everyone else at the radio station, it's true. How did I not know this? This is now my favorite kind of flower, plant, whatever it is! A decoration for my home that I don't have to worry about watering or feeding! God, I love country life!

Thanks, Aaron!
