Granite Staters and tourists alike are obsessed with The Beach Plum. What's not to love? A place that serves up massive ice cream cones bigger than my head and hot buttered rolls loaded with fresh lobster meat is going to be very popular.

Over the years they have been featured in many publications, won many Best of NH Awards, and have been highlighted on TV segments like Phantom Gourmet:

Did you know if you type in lobsterrolls.com in your browser it takes you to The Beach Plum website? That domain is EARNED by filling the bellies of New Englanders for so many years.

It seems like just yesterday, but it was actually in April of 2021, when The Beach Plum announced they were opening their fourth location in Tuscan Village in Salem, New Hampshire.

The hype was real! The people of Rockingham County were rejoicing at the thought of not having to travel so far into the state to scratch that lobster roll itch!

At the end of the day, the rising costs of business drove them to make the difficult decision to close their doors permanently.

Of course their other three locations in Epping, North Hampton (re opening for the season in March), and Portsmouth are still in operation. Any gift cards will be redeemable at those locations.

How are people reacting to the announcement?

Commenters on the post expressed their sadness to see another New Hampshire business close. Others mentioned that the parking was so challenging at this location it deterred them from going.

Will another location of The Beach Plum be opening somewhere else?

Well we haven't heard anything from the horse's mouth but if it were up to the people, the answer would be a resounding YES! The comments dictate a new location would be embraced in the Nashua or Bedford areas. Also, and I love this idea, someone suggested putting a location of The Beach Plum in The Ridge in Rochester. I think that would do super well!

If you could choose the location for the fourth Beach Plum, where would you choose?
