Get ready to end your lockdown with a bang.  With plenty of outdoor seating and wide-open space, the Governor’s Inn on Wakefield Street in Rochester New Hampshire will be featuring live music starting tonight.  The outdoor soundstage will be jamming on Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s this summer.  Bands featured will include Dancing Madly Backwards, the Dave Berry Band, Bad Penny, and Red Sky Mary. Other acts to be announced.

If you are looking to get out and grab a bite to eat and hang out with friends while listening to live music, the Governor’s Inn is the spot to do so pretty safely if you are mindful of social distancing measures.  The Governor’s Inn has acres of space, patio’s, and a tented courtyard according to seacoastonline.com.  I may have to check this out on the weekend. I live in Rochester and have always wanted to stop by.  There is space both behind and in front of the Garage and the Governor’s Inn so social distancing rules should be easily observed.  They have a request of a $5 contribution with all proceeds going to the musicians.  This is a great opportunity to support both local restaurants and local musicians and the arts.

There will be a full menu of casual food at the “step-up self-service” along with cocktails and craft beer according to seacoastonline.com.  The shows will begin around 6 or 7 pm.  Head out for a fun, safely socially distanced, evening.  If you see me, make sure you say hi.  I will be the big guy with a fancy beachy drink in my hand.
