The Leddy Center for the Performing Arts, which has been in operation over four decades will shut down for good at the end of this year.

It's been a staple in the Epping community for nearly 43 years, but now comes word, the Leddy Center will take its final bow at the end of the year.

According to a report in Seacoast Online, Elaine and Bruce Gatchell, who founded the Leddy Center are planning on retiring by the end of 2017.

Currently, the Leddy Center has the Broadway musical, 'Annie' and tickets are going fast! (see below)

The Leddy Center's calendar is quite busy for the rest of the year. The final performances will be that of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol.'
