When out of staters think about New Hampshire, two areas come to mind.

I think the most well known area of New Hampshire is the Lakes Region.

Lake Winnipesaukee is just a beauty and the entire area is so scenic and unique to us.

The second is probably the Seacoast; Rye, Hampton, Portsmouth.

Most residents own their homes and the prices of homes are relatively affordable compared to if you move closer to the coast.

But who needs the ocean when you have Ossipee Lake? (which is a little slice of heaven)

What truly sets Freedom apart is its vibrant community spirit. People from Freedom are REALLY proud to be from Freedom and we can't really blame them.

The residents are always organizing events that bring everyone together from seasonal festivals to farmers’ markets. Sometimes a community feeling is easier to establish in a town where the population is under 2,000. Everyone is pretty much on a first-name basis.

While Freedom, New Hampshire, may not be the first name that comes to mind when planning a New Hampshire getaway, I think it might be worth some exploration.

For those willing to venture off the beaten path and uncover this hidden treasure—you won't be disappointed.
