These Dads of Players Saved a Guy’s Life at a College World Series Game
Well this is scary! An 87-year-old fan collapsed at an LSU College World Series game. It turned out he had a heart attacked and wasn't breathing, he didn't have a pulse!
Jerry Poche, who is an LSU player's dad, happens to be a doctor and saw the whole thing. He decided to step in and give the collapsed man CPR for about five minutes. Another dad named Jimmy Roy was a firefighter and while Jerry was doing chest compressions, he performed mouth to mouth resuscitation. Together they were able to get his pulse back!
I am always so impressed with people who act quickly on their feet in a situation where everyone's instinct is to freeze and panic.
The photo above is the two heroes Jimmy and Jerry. If you want more details on the story (like who actually won the game!) they can be found here.
