This Maine Restaurant Gets Their Lobsters High on Marijuana Before Cooking Them
According to WMUR, Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster Pound in Southwest Harbor, Maine has been cooking their lobsters in a more humane way and we are not referring to water temperature.
It was recently discovered that lobsters have an advanced nervous system and might be able to feel pain. The owner of Charlotte's, Charlotte Gill, conducted an experiment where a lobster was put into a box with a few inches of water. Marijuana smoke was then blown into the box. Charlotte claimed the lobster was calmer for the next three weeks!
Gill said from now on she will use her new method upon customer’s request! If you are wondering if eating this lobster will give you the munchies, it won't. THC, the active ingredient in marijuana does not affect the lobster meat. So if you were hoping to catch a buzz from this stoned crustacean you are out of luck.
