This may be one of the most fun, creative things I've seen in a long time to come out of the pandemic.  Are you ready to go several steps beyond children's party platters?

You've heard of charcuterie boards, right?  You've probably devoured them.  I know I have.  Pronounced "shahr-kyu-tuh-ree," they're beautifully-placed foods that entice the senses visually.

I mean, I've literally had charcuterie boards for dinner. They're so welcoming and easy eating.

Well, let me introduce you to Nikki Rousseau and KidCuterie. This is Nikki's pandemic hobby turned small business in Dover, New Hampshire.  This charcuterie is made for kids and filled with goodies and munchies kids love.  It takes snacking and parties to an entirely new, scrumptious level.

This mom started making these entertaining boards for her boys during the stay-at-home days when the pandemic first interrupted everyone's lives.

It was something fun to do for myself, letting my creativity flow personally, while doing something fun for my boys while we were locked down.   Now, they're so used to them, sometimes they'll ask me if they can have a board for breakfast or lunch.  It's hilarious.

While adult versions are generally an assortment of meats paired with different accompaniments like olives, baby toasts and crackers, various fruit, a myriad of cheeses, and sauces, KidCuterie boards definitely appeal to a child's tastebuds.

I loved sharing photos of my creations with my friends and family so I decided to start an Instagram account.  The next thing I know, someone messaged me asking if I did this for hire and I thought, why not.

And since KidCuterie became a business, even adults ask Nikki if she can create specialty boards for them, and of course the answer is yes. Birthdays, girl's night, you name it, Nikki will do it.  Note the cute Jim Beam bottles.

But back to the KidCuterie boards.

I love making people smile. I have so much fun creating these boards, whether it's a board I offer or working with my client on something special.  Clients can pick them up or I can ship them, and I package them already created in board-form or whatever is necessary, so all you have to do is take them out of the box and set them out.

Right now Nikki takes orders on her Instagram and Facebook pages via this link. It's quick and easy and allows you to get creative, too.

Fat Dog Kitchen in Dover lets her use their kitchen during off hours as well.  Isn't that so kind?  It's like one business giving another one a helping hug.
