Three Portsmouth Elementary Schools Snag National Honors
In case you missed it, these schools were all recognized as being in the top 10 by an educational ranking website.
A recent article in Seacoast Online covered how the New Franklin School, Little Harbour School and The Dondero School all achieved recognition for the work that they do.
Niche is a site that was developed by Carnegie Mellon University in 2002 as a resource to rank schools from kindergarten through college. It has since expanded to review various cities and ranks them in terms of quality of life. Boston was named Niche's "City of the Year" in 2014.
Now these three local schools in Portsmouth have been awarded honors for the quality of the education and environment that they provide. Some of the criteria Niche looked at included academics, teachers, student culture and diversity. Schools were graded on an A to C scale.
