If you’re a fan of scary movies, this might be right up your alley.  Starting next month a supernatural thriller is going to be filming in New England.

Filmmakers will be filming a movie called "Shrine" in Sudbury, MA according to Metrowestdailynews.com.  The article says that filming will take place at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn and the Goodnow Library.

The movie will star Jordana Brewster from Fast And The Furious fame, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan who you may know from Walking Dead.   Metrowestdaily.com reports that the production will be filmed over the next two months.

The movie is based on a book by James Herbert about a “disgraced journalist who discovers a series of divine miracles in a small New England town and uses them to resurrect his career.”  The article continues “the miracles may have a much darker source.”

Film location manager Tim Gorman went before the town counsel to get approval to film in Sudbury.  Gorman tells Metrowestdaily.com that he met with the police chief to discuss plans and request assistance in traffic control, but does not think it will cause many problems for reisdents.

Gorman says that making a movie is no small thing for the town with as many as 80-100 crew members and the potential for 100 background extras.  Metrowestdaily.com  reports that Gorman is no stranger to New England as he lives in Needham and was also part of production on the Little Women movie that was recently filmed in Concord.
