‘Tiny Creatures’ on Netflix Features Skunks, Rodents, and a Hawk from NH
I'm excited for this new animal series on Netflix called "Little Creatures". Netflix describes this pseudo-documentary as
"Little animals embark on big adventures across the U.S. in a dramatic nature series that explores their hidden worlds and epic survival stories."
This series of short nature films highlights the planet's tiniest and most misunderstood creatures. Each episode takes place in a different region in the U.S. These regions include Arizona, New York City, Texas, Minnesota, Louisiana, Florida, New Hampshire and Washington. But get this! Each episode was actually shot in the film maker's backyard in England during the Coronavirus lock down.
According to decider.com, even if you weren't aware of the unique way this show was shot, it is evident right off the bat that this show isn't like any other nature show. Tiny Creatures is shot like a mini-movie with plot points, sets, and even CGI! The site states that it looks more like a movie set than the great outdoors. A silver lining is that if you are an animal lover it's nice to know that no animals were harmed in the making of this show.
The New Hampshire episode highlights the adventures of a striped skunk who gets confronted by hawk. Will she spray or will she go? Well, you will just have to watch to find out!
If you are deciding whether to stream it or to skip it, check out the article on Decider.com that outlines the gist of each episode and if it is worth watching.
