Famous former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana had some harsh advice for Tom Brady. He appeared on the “GameDay Morning Show” on the NFL Network which will air this Sunday and spoke about the transition a quarterback has to make switching teams according to Boston.com. Montana’s advice is simple. Just don’t.

Montana spoke candidly saying “it’s a process to go through, and it takes time to get used to the team.” Going further saying “It’s not easy to go to another team and get accepted, no matter how much success you’ve had and how many years you’ve played. Montana has the experience to know about such a transition. He was traded from the 49ners to the Kansas City Chiefs back in 1992 after a long run of 14 years in San Francisco per boston.com.

All is not without hope. Montana expressed that Brady might have more success than he did if he is allowed to have control over his offensive team. Brady faces free agency in March and speculation is running high. Brady seems to indicate he is not willing to quit football yet, but will he play with the Patriots next season? Only time will tell.
