Truck Crashes into McDonald’s on Lafayette Rd in Portsmouth

The McDonald's on Lafayette Road in Portsmouth had to close shortly after noontime Tuesday because a pick-up truck crashed into the building.

The pick-up truck apparently hit the building right where the drive-thru line begins. Seacoast online reports McDonald's management closed the restaurant in response to the accident. A portion of a side wall of the restaurant entrance was leaning against the truck following the accident.

When I stopped by this morning, it looked like repairs were underway and the restaurant was open for business, including the drive-thru lane.
