UNH is the University of No Hoverboards
Will self-lacing Nike sneakers be next? According to Fosters.com, the University of New Hampshire is the latest institution of higher learning to ban so-called hoverboards from their campus.
The ban went into effect last week and is purportedly due to the risk of fire the misnamed device present on account of their lithium-ion batteries. No doubt this is the primary reason, but the fact that they're really annoying surely factored in the decision. Never mind that these things combined with alcohol is a head injury waiting to happen, right?
The ban will be revisted when the devices are proven to be less explodey and maybe, you know, hover. Until then, good riddance.
