One of the few highlights of a tough season for the UNH Wildcats men's hockey team was the breakout season that came from Andrew Poturalski. Turns out scouts across the NHL took notice of the undrafted forward from Williamsville, NY.

After finishing second in NCAA scoring during his sophomore season, UNHWildcats.com reports Poturalski signed a two year contract with the Carolina Hurricanes organization. He'll be reporting to their AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

Can't wait to get the season started tomorrow!
