Unusual Hot Weather Made It Hard to Believe It Was the Fall Race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

This weekend was full of emotion as the previous week Ted Christopher, modified and New Hampshire legend, passed away in a plane crash.
This was also the last race for Dale Earnhardt Jr at NHMS, as he will retire at the end of the season. New Hampshire Motor Speedway gave Earnhardt a New Hampshire send off, with such gifts as a musket and declaring September 24th as Dale Earnhardt Jr. day.
Richard Rawlings from "Fast 'N Loud" drove the pace car for the race.
Dan + Shay provided the pre-race concert.
Kyle Busch won the big race and has advanced to the next round of the playoffs.
Kyle received a huge lobster for his victory.
Despite the heat, race weekend provided a bunch of story lines for the fans, who now wait and see who will be champion in 2017.
