This weekend was the last fall race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, however, the 90-degree weather made one think they were attending the July race. The heat didn't deter the story lines for race weekend.

This weekend was full of emotion as the previous week Ted Christopher, modified and New Hampshire legend, passed away in a plane crash.

This was also the last race for Dale Earnhardt Jr at NHMS, as he will retire at the end of the season. New Hampshire Motor Speedway gave Earnhardt a New Hampshire send off, with such gifts as a musket and declaring September 24th as Dale Earnhardt Jr. day.
